Waterloo: BlackBerry finally launched its much awaited BlackBerry10 LTE enabled smart phones with two versions. BlackBerry 10 as claimed by the company is the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented new platform that creates a new and unique mobile computing experience. While the BlackBerry Z10 is a touch phone, BlackBerry Q10 has touch and physical Qwerty keyboard powered by BlackBerry 10.

While the US pre order registrations will begin, the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 will be available only in March. However, country’s like Canada, Australia and UAE are bit lucky enough as they can get the new smartphones in February through various data plans with carriers.

The BlackBerry official launch event held simultaneously in New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Dubai, and Johannesburg.

–BlackBerry Hub: A one stop application to access all your conversations be it chat or email or BBM messages and social media updates.
–BlackBerry Flow: BlackBerry Flow helps users to manage work flow and connects every application seamlessly. This also comes with Picture Editor and sharing.
–Key Board: Black Berry10 keyboard that understands and adapts to you, that learns what words you use and how you use them, then offers them up to you so you can type faster and more accurately.
–Voice Calling with BBM: BlackBerry Messenger which allows you to share things with the people that matter to you in an instant. BBM in BlackBerry 10 includes voice calling and video chat, and introduces the ability to share your screen with another BlackBerry 10 contact.
–BlackBerry Balance: Secures personal and public data and applications on BlackBerry Device.
–Browser: The new BlackBerry 10 browser supports HTML 5 with many advanced features. Allows users to share content and private browsing.
–BlackBerry Remember: You can organise your memos and plan a things to do list and tasks, assignments etc and track the progress. It is like a personal organiser. This powered with Microsoft Outlook Tasks. It also allows Evernote configurations to sync with work books.
–BlackBerry Safeguard: Complete protection to important data, information stored on your device.
–BlackBerry Store: It is like an app store, which has 70,000 BlackBerry 10 Apps, music and video list.
–Social Media: Social apps like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Foursquare apps for BlackBerry 10 are preinstalled. Disney, Cisco, Foursquare, Skype and Rovio may be added to the platform.

According to company release, BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 will be available from carriers to support their respective 4G LTE or HSPA+ networks across US and other counties listed above.

Pricing and Availability: The company may announce pricing gradually and it may defer country to country and carrier.

In UK:  The BlackBerry Z10 will be available on pay monthly contracts and pre-pay plans from EE, O2, Vodafone, Phones 4u, BT, 3UK and the Carphone Warehouse. BlackBerry Z10 smartphones will be available fully subsidized on competitive monthly pay contracts. Price points will vary according to carriers and retail partners.
In Canada:  The BlackBerry Z10 will be available on February 5th. Pricing will vary by carrier partner, but it will retail for around $149.99 on a 3 year contract.
In the UAE:  The BlackBerry Z10 will be available on February 10th. Pricing will vary by carrier partner, but unsubsidized it will retail for AED 2,599.
BlackBerry 10 In the US:  BlackBerry Z10 will be available in March. US carriers will start announcing pre-registration and price plans.
