LG G Pad 8.3 inch Android Tablet with HD Display hits the market | Specs, Price Availability
Mumbai: LG revealed its new Android Tablet LG G Pad 8.3 inch Android Tablet with 1920X1200 resolution display. This is LG’s first 8-inch tablet with Full HD display as per reports. It was announced before the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin in Sep, 2013. The product has a large display yet very comfortable in hands. The portability of the product is a great feature, reports say.
LG G Pad 8.3 inch Android Tablet has a Snapdragon 600 chipset with quad core CPU with 1.7 GHz. It also has Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of LPDDR2 RAM with an internal storage memory of 16GB. It has a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. The battery is powered at 4,600 mAH. However, there’s uncertainty on the battery life. The Android version on this G Pad is 4.2.2. Its features have been claimed to be premium and usually meant for larger tablets. It is one of the company’s “G” products like LG G Pro, LG G2 Smart phones.
The measurements for the product are 216.8×126.5×8.3mm, weighing slightly more than Nexus 7. The weight is more than Nexus, being 338g whereas Nexus weighs 290g. While Nexus supports LTE along with WiFi, there have been no comments on the network connectivity of LG G Pad.
The sale of this product is likely to begin in North America, Asia, Europe and other places. The beginning is expected in the fourth quarter of year 2013. The price has not been exposed as of now, but would be out once the product is launched.

LG uses softwares like QPair, Qslide and KnockOn. QPair provides True convergence experience between the smart phone and G Pad. It helps in attending calls, messages received on smart phone. This requires proper pairing with an Android phone and an app. This has been possible using services like Google Voice or other related apps. However, interesting point about this feature is that not only it can pair up with smart phones made by LG, but also other smart phones. It is expected to prove that LG has provided integration in a better way by using QPair. Notes saved on QMemo software can be saved easily on the smartphone.
QSlide helps in improving the multitasking features, helping control up to three applications in a single window. The large screen favors this feature. KnockOn is a feature that turns on and turns off the device with two continuous taps on the screen. The product is definitely one of those eagerly awaited this year and is expected to help with a great user experience. LG has revealed specs of the LG G Pad 8.3 inch Android Tablet but the price is still unheard and the wait would be over in September 2013 at IFA event.
