Further, online retailers including and Naaptol have listed the Magicon Q7 at a price of Rs 8,999. Moreover, launched in collaboration with Aircel, the smartphone is bundled with special call and SMS package.

Of course, the incorporation of Android 4.0 ICS in the Magicon Q7 could be disappointing to many as several manufacturers have started using Jelly Bean OS on budget offerings. But, it has to be kept in mind that Magicon aims to focus on the budget conscious consumers.

Analyzing the specifications, it is clear that Magicon Q7 with bundled plans could be a stiff competitor to Micromax Canvas Viva A72, which went on sale early today at Rs 6,999.

Speaking of specs, Canvas Viva A72 packs a 5 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GHz single core processor, Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS, dual SIM support, 256MB RAM, 110MB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3 and a 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery offering 280 hours standby and 7 hours talk time.

Though Magicon Q7 is priced higher than Canvas Viva A72, it comes flavored with Android ICS, better dual core processor and improved camera performance.

At this price, the phone is an attractive offering and with its Galaxy S3 like looks, the phone is an affordable option for consumers in the country looking for a smartphone under Rs 10,000.
